ColourPop Cosmetics | Shadow & Lippie Stix Swatches

ColourPop Packaging

Hey Guys!

I've been collecting some ColourPop items to demo/review for a few months and I feel like I've got quite the collection of lippie stix going on to share some of my thoughts about them with you. I'm madly in love with the shadows and plan to try out some of their new matte shadows and blushes. The quality and colors are absolutely stunning. I love that everything is affordable so that everyone can enjoy them.

Packaging is cute. Everything was carefully packed and definitely sent with love. You will receive a handwritten thank you card greeting you personally for your purchase. I was impressed with the quality of packaging since you only pay $5 for each item and the shipping isn't too expensive either.

I Heart This Shadow

For shadows I purchased:
I Heart This (Cool-toned silvery taupe with multi-coloured glitter)
Chipper (Mid-tone minty green eyeshadow with multi-coloured glitter)
Girly  (Creamy vanilla with a flash of pink and gold duo chrome finish)
Sequin (A copper penny like shade with silver and gold glitter)
Fringe (Shimmering champagne with gold and silver glitter)

ColourPop's I Heart This, Chipper, Girly, Sequin, Fringe Swatched

I absolutely LOVE all of the shadows. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. They are so pigmented, they are easy to apply, and they last a very long time. On top of a creamy base - they are even more pigmented than they are. I just highly recommend these babies.

I Heart This Lippie Stix

Gossip Lippie Stix
 Lippie Stix I purchased:
Cake (
Bright pastel peachy pink in a satin finish)
Easy (Pale vivid yellow pink in a glossy finish)
Gossip (mid- tone blue pink in a satin finish)
Bound (light nude pink in a glossy finish)
I Heart This (Red based fuchsia in a matte finish)
Chi Chi (Bright true orange in a matte finish)
Clique (Vivid true orange red in a matte finish)
Wet (A cool toned taupe gunmetal in a pearlized finish)
Pitch (rich blackened chocolate brown in a matte finish)

I really adore so many of these lippie stix. Some of the gloss formulas ended up being a little harder to apply and some appeared blotchy to me, but that was mostly due to not twisting the product up high enough in the applicator. Also, the gloss formulas would gather into the crevices of any dry patches or uneven areas, but that's easy to fix by exfoliating your lips before you use them. All in all I am very impressed with the lippie stix. I bet the corresponding lip liners for each lippie stix would be a great addition to have, though I didn't grab any to try.

You Are Beautiful ~ Just As You Are

You are beautiful. Just as you are. With or without any expression of color. You are truly the essence of perfection, regardless of societal or media influenced definitions as to what that is. Beauty is something that cannot be limited by anything, because the true core of it has nothing to do with the things we think it does. It's a vision of feeling. It's the foundation of self existence, and we are all radiating from its core.

Love, me.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Powder Review & Demo

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation & Powder
($11.88-12.99)

Hey guys! There's so much hype about the new L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Powder, that I wanted to put this to the test and see how it worked for my combination skin. This product was specifically designed for those of us with combination skin, so it's nice to see that something like this is out there. I always feel a little passed off when it comes to foundations because I am always in between dry and oily skin. For this review and test, I didn't use a primer and I only used the intended moisturizers and creams underneath as a base. I used Embryolisse Lait-Creme Fluid and my Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream. I also used my HG Eve Pearl corrector concealer, because I wanted to see how this foundation worked on top of that. It worked great. Also, throughout the day I did not blot, add more powder, or do anything except let the foundation do it's thing.

Left Side: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation Only

First impression of this was good. I really liked the feel of it on my skin. It looked like skin. It blended beautifully with the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. It also dried to a perfect finish and I didn't feel like I had anything on my face. It covered my redness, patchiness, and discoloration really well and gave me an even, flawless complexion. The powder added a touch more coverage and smoothed my skin even more than the foundation did. I also liked how it set my under-eye concealer.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Powder applied.
As the day went on, I remained very pleased with this foundation. Around the 6 hour mark, I began to notice some oil and it slowly increased until I took it off, about 8 hours into wearing it. For not touching up, blotting, or doing anything of the sort - I am impressed with how long it lasted for me. Typically, I need to blot a few hours into any foundation or BB/CC cream that I wear.

8 Hours of L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation and Powder later...End of Night shot.
As you can see, I had some fading in the areas of my face that I touched or my son cuddled me, but overall it still looks pretty decent. I would definitely blot or powder my face to get rid of the oil, but the oiliness wasn't bad compared to other products I've tried and left on my face to evaluate. I am going to say that this is a good product from the drugstore that is in the Matte family and is great for people with combination skin types.

*Dry to Normal skin types: make sure you use a really good exfoliator and moisturizer so this foundation doesn't cling to any dry areas. You may not need the powder.
*Oily skin types: make sure you use a primer on those areas that tend to be really oily for you and definitely get the powder. It will help with oil control and keep your foundation looking amazing throughout the day.
