Clinique Beyond Perfection Foundation + Concealer First Impression

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer First Impression - BeautyMindSpirit
Hey Darlings. I decided to try out Clinique's Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer. I've heard a lot of people rave about it through YouTube and since I have combination skin - I'm always on the lookout for a great foundation that helps keep my oily t-zone under control. The price of the foundation is $27 USD for 1fl. The price isn't too bad for a more higher-end foundation.

I did notice that the range didn't have a lot of options for fair skin. Also, it seemed a little limited in the darkest range as well. I am more pale than usual and I found that the lightest shade would've worked, but it had a more pink undertone and I needed a yellow one instead. So, I went a shade darker in Linen which had more of a neutral/yellow undertone. I am very happy with this color and it ended up working really well for me.

Application went on really nicely with a beauty blender. I haven't tried this foundation with a brush, because I feel as though the heaviness of it would most likely look a bit cakey applied that way. I'd rather use a damp beauty blender to make sure that it removes any extra foundation that isn't necessary for the skin.

If you have any dry patches, you will need to use a heavier moisturizer and primer to prevent this foundation from clinging on to your dry areas. Since I have combination/oily skin - the outer perimeters are more dry and the foundation did cling to a couple areas. I also noticed that the foundation didn't do a good job covering up my larger pores. Without a primer or a nice setting powder, it would accentuate some of them as time went on. I believe it's because of the medium-thick consistency of this foundation.
After 8 hours of wear time with Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer

I tested this foundation out for a total of 8 hours wear time. Closer to the 4-5 hour mark, my skin started to look oily. By hour 8, I was really oily. Granted, I did not use a mattifying primer or powder... so this is pretty normal for most foundations with my skin. Upon first impression, the foundation was nice, but it didn't blow my mind.

If you have dry to normal skin - use a heavier moisturizer and primer to prevent dry patches
If you have combination to oily skin - make sure to use a mattifying primer

**Since trying this foundation, I have used a different moisturizer and a mattifying primer. Not only that, but I found that mixing this foundation with Maybelline's Fit Me Matte + Poreless is my new favorite way to wear foundation. With Maybelline's extra pore coverage and lightweight texture... the two just work magic on the skin. I still apply using a damp beauty blender. I am LOVING them together and so in love with how my foundation looks.**

Overall, I like this foundation. I think it provides a pretty coverage to the skin. It gives me a full coverage with only one layer. It does a good job concealing my skin. I will continue to use this product!

Colourpop Where The Night Is | Swatches & Makeup Look

Where The Night Is by Colourpop and Kathleen Lights -
My darlings! How are you? Guess who made ANOTHER purchase through Colourpop? Hahaha. What can I say, I'm one of their number one fans. Not only am I one of their number one fans, I'm also Kathleen Light's. She is such a sweet soul and I adore her videos on YouTube. If you haven't checked her out... you must! Kathleen recently collaborated again with Colourpop to bring forward Where The Night Is... which is sort of like a part two to her Where The Light Is collaboration she made with them last year.
Left to Right: Weenie, Porter, Midnight, and Telepathy - Where The Night Is eyeshadows -
Let's talk about the colors!

There are four eyeshadows in this collection:
Midnight - A black undertone with a ton of gold glitter on top in a Metallic finish
Telepathy - A bright gold with a green undertone in an Ultra- Metallic finish
Porter - A warm burgundy with gold multi- dimensional gold glitter on top in a Metallic finish
Weenie - A pinky rose gold in a Pearlized finish
Left to Right: Taurus and Aquarius - Where The Night Is lippie stix -
There are two lippie stix colors and accompanying lip pencils in this collection as well:

Aquarius - A soft pink nude in a Crème finish
Taurus - A mid-tone yellow brown in a Matte finish
As usual Colourpop's pigmentation is amazing and all of them swatched beautifully on the skin. You get a lot of pigment in these little guys! The lippie stix are beautiful and go on pretty opaque. I'm impressed with them and they are very comfortable on the lips.

Check out my video below where I show you how I created this look:

Utilizing The Energy of Love | Spirit Talk

Utilizing The Energy of Love -

So many times we are gifted with the energy of love and we don't even realize it. Or sometimes we do realize it, but we end up just acknowledging it for a moment and then letting it slip right by us. I wanted to create a video to talk about love and what we can do to honor it that much further by making a conscious decision to invite it in and to further utilize it for other good reasons. If someone gives us a gift of love, why not, right?!
First of all, let me express that everything in this Universe is made up of energy, atoms, light, waves, etc. Every single aspect of existence communicates by means of these things. Whenever we make a choice or decision in life, there is a consequence of that choice that becomes alive with action and that action becomes a formed response in the reality of this world. I wrote a song a while back called, 'What You Are.' The lyrics of the song go like this:

Be aware to be alarmed
What we have is what we are
Be aware to be alarmed
What we do is what we are

Every day a choice can be made
What you say is what you do is what you are
Every day a choice reflects fate
What you say is what you do is what you are
Every day your fate creates the world
What you say is what you do is what you are

What you say
What you do
Is what we are

Every day
Every day you make who we are

So my darlings, every time we make a choice. We not only change our realities, but we also affect the greater reality as a collective whole of people on this planet. Maybe even beyond! A choice to give someone love, for example, creates an actual vibrational effect on that person's reality. How many times have you felt butterflies or even pain near your heart when you've encountered experiences with someone? That's because when two people consciously interact with each other, there is an exchange of information that occurs not only from the obvious five senses, but on an energetic level as well. Most of the time, we see this energy and we get excited (or sad depending on the situation)... but you can actually invite that energy inward and use it for more beautiful things. Love is one of the most powerful energetic vibrations that we are aware of. It is a multi-purposeful energy that can do so many things. You can see a mother's love bond heal her sick child's condition by skin to skin contact, or a small child's love for their aged grandparent give life back into their old eyes. Love can be used to heal, to comfort, to inspire, to nurture, to heal conflicts, to overcome all. So, that means, you can use it to do ANY of these things in your own personal realities.

Now that we have talked about that. Can you think of a situation where you have felt something come in your direction from another person? Can you remember how that made you feel? What reactions in your body did you feel something shift? What about your perceptions of life? Now, think about how long this lasted.
For most of us, including myself, I have felt that I have never fully invited this energy IN during most of my encounters of it. I've kept it a bit distant to me... knowing it was around me, floating around... but I didn't fully absorb it, let alone use it for other things. I did have an experience where I did feel a person's energy that loved me integrate into my existence for up to 3 days after parting their physical self. I could feel them right next to me, just as I did when they were physically present.

Imagine what we could do if we put this energy into more use. Imagine what others could do if they use the energy we give them.

So, my loves, maybe this will inspire you to be ever present in the energetic exchanges between you and another person. I think there's magic here. So much untapped magic.

Leave a comment and share your experiences with me! I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for reading.

La Fresh Eco-Beauty Skincare Review | Anti-Aging Natural Skincare That Works

I have found some AMAZING natural skincare products that work so well at anti-aging the skin! I first discovered La Fresh because a deluxe size sample of their Good Day Day Moisturizer was in my IPSY bag almost a year ago. Upon trying the moisturizer one evening, I was so impressed the very next morning. My skin looked and felt so much better. It felt plumper and really hydrated. I had a couple blemishes that faded almost completely overnight and after several uses, I noticed that the moisturizer faded some acne scars and dark spots. I was hooked!

I contacted La Fresh to see if they would be interested in sending some products for me to review for my blog and YouTube channel (you know your products work if a beauty blogger is contacting YOU to review haha!). They were SO nice and fun to talk to. They agreed and sent me their Good Start Face Serum, Good Times Facial Treatment Masks, and another jar of their Good Day Day Moisturizer (yessss!). I also wanted to try their nighttime moisturizer so I personally purchased the Good Night Night Cream for review. They also sent along some extra deluxe samples which I will be able to give away to a couple of you guys! See my Giveaway info below :)

Giveaway ends on March 1st, 2016. Winners will be contacted through email by me! Good luck!

This is a great company, guys. They have good morals. All of their products are made with natural ingredients, are cruelty-free, made locally in the USA in sunny California, biodegradable, and compostable! Doesn't that sound morally delicious? I think so.
